Because you are busy running your business. You are very good at your job, as are all of your employees. But are you (or your employees) experts in writing engaging content that grabs and keeps the attention of your prospects?
It takes time to do this right, and isn't that the aspect of running a business that frustrates you the most? Time to get done what needs to get done? I will give you a marketing plan and implement the strategies that provide clarity for your audience and personality to your products, at rates much more affordable than hiring someone onto your payroll, or working with a full-scale agency. I will be a partner in growing your business.
FAIR ENOUGH. BUT HOW CAN YOU WRITE ABOUT AND MARKET MY BUSINESS WHEN YOU DON'T REALLY KNOW MY BUSINESS?
That's a great question. The answer boils down to a crucial component of my job: learning your business.
I will research both your industry and your target audience. I will learn the nuances and the jargon, no matter how technical. I will then place myself in the minds of your target audience. What would compel me to act? What benefit can this product or service offer me? What problems will you solve for me?
I will figure out why they need your product or service, and how best to engage them.
Finally, I will create compelling and persuasive campaigns to help them recognize that your business should be the one to provide the solutions.
DO YOU BILL ME AN HOURLY RATE, OR IS IT A FLAT-FEE PROJECT RATE?
When we sit down to collaborate and set the parameters of what your particular project will entail, I will figure out what it will take on my end (research, writing, editing etc.) and quote you a flat fee for the project.
I also understand that in the course of any project, occasionally the parameters evolve and the scope may grow, or even diminish. We may need to adjust the budget accordingly. I am fair and I hope you will be too. I require 50% down payment, with the balance due upon your acceptance. Once we get a few projects under our belt, we can discuss the possibility of extending credit terms.

First, we'll speak by phone or if you are local to the state of Ohio, we could meet in person. I’ll ask you specific questions related to your marketing objectives, your target audience, and your competition. I will want to hear all about your products or your service, the features and benefits, and your company philosophy. Remember, I want to write for your prospects, yet in a voice and tone that reflects you. Once I am satisfied that I have all I need to get started, I get started on your marketing plan, or your copywriting project.
